Back again?

Well here I am again after another long absence. I really miss blogging yet at the same time I feel like I have nothing to blog about, or no time to blog or I don't really know.
I had decided that I was going to do a month of "blog everyday" in May,but then I remembered that I was going on vacation in May. So what I have come up with is committing to twice a week from now until the end of May with the exception of the week I will be away. I hope that the process of doing will be inspiration in itself.

I am starting off with spring flowers. Flowers are inspiring right? I've got to start somewhere.

Down the rabbit hole

I have been feeling like I fell down the rabbit hole for a while now. right around the time that I stopped posting on the old blog here or a regular basis. It's a little scary down here. I'm still searching for the right path out so if your a praying person I wouldn't mind a prayer or two for me. I'm confident I will find that path I am looking for in due time.

Style inspiration

Have you ever been influenced by a mans style? The most stylish man I ever met was this handsome gentleman. My Grandfather The Rev. S. Amos Brackeen.

All bias aside this man new what he was doing. He always left the house well groomed and dresses to impress. 

Today he is my style inspiration.

I went bowling with my class today. We had such a good day even though I almost got beat by my five year old students.

My birthday.

My birthday was on Monday July 18. I have been given the gift of 33 years so far.
This year my birthday plans did not go quite as planned. My birthday festivities were supposed to start with a day full or roller coaster rides at Six flags. That morning I started the day not feeling well but I tried to tell myself I was alright. I was not alright. I went home with a fever after one ride. A week later and I am still not back to full health.
So I did not have the birthday I planned but the unplanned days have brought me wonderful gifts.

Even though I was too sick to go out on Sunday the 17th I still had a great day. I spent the day napping and watching Harry potter movies all day.

Other things that made me smile for my birthday.

1. A slice of cheesecake
2. A little mermaid picture frame
3. Books I bought for myself. The only books I am allowing myself in my no book buying year.
4. I was surprised with a homemade Lemon cake with cream cheese frosting from one of my students.
5. Vinyl figures to get me one step closer to ending up on hoarders.
6. My mom fixing me an amazing meal of my choice.
7. birthday wishes from people I care about!

just a little ramble

So I have the day off from work tomorrow. I am excited and not excited at the same time. I am excited to see someone I care about so much get married. I am not excited because I actually really like my job. I have so much fun there and tomorrow is superhero dress-up day.

I am not reading "Revolution" for my book challenge after all. I didn't realize when I chose it that it was still only in hardcover. no thanks. I chose "Chains" by Laurie Halse Anderson who also wrote the book I just finished.

It's summertime which means lots of kids art post. kids art is my favorite type of art.

Hi everyone it's been a while. I have been kind of busy.

My students had there graduation on Thursday. They did such a good job. I am so proud of them.
I have had some unexpected information (for lack of a better word that) that has keep an d is still keeping me busy. (This is just weirdness. I'm Confused)

Dress up.

This was my post for last Friday but that was the start to me filling ill. I am still not one hundred percent.


I will never be too old to play dress up. This week at work was week of the young child. Everyday we had a different dress up day. Monday was crazy socks day. Check out Mary's and my socks here. Tuesday
was cartoon character day.

We had crazy hat day on Wednesday. I didn't get a picture but I wore Disneyland mickey ears and I also did not get a picture on Friday which was pajamas and pancakes day. I suggest everyone try to go to work in PJ's at least once its great. especially if you get to eat Pancakes. I did get a picture or me on mix- match day. It wasn't very far from what I would wear normally.

Here are some fun facts about me

I love my name. Virginia

As a child I was rarely called Virginia. I was mostly called Ginny but I was also called other variants of Virginia.

The delivery nurses gave me the nickname.

My Favorite food of all time is shrimp. I have a fear of developing a shellfish allergy and not being able to eat it anymore.

I don't like salad. I am completely embarrassed about this. I have tried to like it. I can't. The crunch sound is so uncomfortable.

I am not tattooed and only my ears are pierced. I don't want to get tattooed or pierced but I love the tattoo art. I even know what I would get if I were to ever change my mind.

I have to sleep with a pillow on my feet. I don't know why. I just do.
